I Voted!... (Non Political)

Second time was a charm (and only 15 minutes wait)... Wife came along and we got it done.

:patriot:

I don't want to know who you voted for, only that you went to the polls and cast a vote (or a few... )!

Voted first day. Line was very long but moved fast. 45 minutes reaching end of line to walking out front door. All touch screen with printing out my final ballot, taking it to a spot where it is scanned and dropped into a I presume secure container for a recount or auditing purposes. Seemed very efficient and well run.

Apparently the Republicans won some kind of coin toss as all their candidates were listed first.

I was concerned if touch screens broke from repeated use as the same spot was used on every race for the R or the D vote.

My first touch didn’t automatically register a vote. I had to very my touch length to get it to register. Never got it on the first try.

We voted the first day also. I was surprised at the turnout for early voting. The lines were at least as long as they usually are on Election Day. I’ve voted early before, but this time it seemed like people want to be damn sure their votes are counted….like, they weren’t just voting, but voting with a purpose.

I voted Wednesday afternoon. No line, one of the benefits of living in a rural county.

My trophy wife and I voted Wednesday morning. No line. I walked straight to the 'Id' desk.
Harris County. (Not Rural)
Plenty of voters moving through the process but there were plenty of election workers to keep them moving.

We had planned to vote the 2nd day but life...

I always wait until Election Day. As Presiding Judge, I can then vote while carrying

:tiphat:

P.S. we need more Republican Election Day judges here in Harris county. If you’re interested, send me a PM.

I need to look into Tarrant County needs.
I think that would be a good way to spend the day.

Tarrant County, Texas GOP Chairman Bo French reported a concerning issue where some voters selecting Donald Trump on the voting machine screen saw Kamala Harris listed on the final printed ballot.

“Today at 3:29pm I was notified of reports that voters were experiencing problems. Reports were that people who selected Trump on the screen were seeing Harris on the printed ballot. This was reported to the Election Judge and in at least one case the voter was issued a new ballot to vote again. I immediately reported this to the TC Elections Administrator,” French said.

Voted on Monday (I work in the building, so I can pick a 'no line' time easily). Made sure my printed ballot matched what I selected before sliding it into the reader....

My son and I went on Thursday. He turned 18 in March and this was the first election that he voted in. It was a great father and son outing!

we went thursday, just before lunch
waited about 30 minutes to get into building
lots of seats to sit down to fillout the ballot
but only 2 machines to scan in the ballot

i notice on my machine the number count for the day was 1718, lifetime,
the one next to it, read 1780 something , i didnt linger
so thats not bad for our county of 40k people
on 4 th day of early voting

line was 40 or so deep behind us

do they keep the paper ballots now or ???

Wife and I voted this morning. Took an hour from getting out of the car to getting back into the car.
Lady checking me in didn’t want to take my LTC as ID because she didn’t want to have to type in the information instead scanning the DL.
I just politely pointed at the “valid forms of ID” document next to her and said it is valid ID, so she reluctantly typed my information in.
