DELETED FROM TEXAS GUN TALK

#1

Post by carlson1 »

Was banned for Texas Gun Talk. I do not know much about them other than they don’t like Mr. Cotton. I seen a thread about Mr. Cotton. I used words I haven’t used since LEO days, but enough is enough. Not only did they flat out law about all of the work he had done to further our rights, but blamed himself for the State Fair ban.

Well I went off on someone named Renegade. I use my name wherever I go. I don’t hide behind behind a Suede. About all social media I do is this Fourm (if it an even social media) and email. I am a friend to the end and absolutely would I allow lies and fake news about my friend, Mr. Cotton. So no longer there. I am happy to be gone either way.

I don't go there much, so I missed it I guess. I see that Charles is still listed as a member, Mixed comments about him and his 2A efforts. Saw some that were critical of him and the NRA and some were ragging on the forum, but I just consider they are people who think 2A rights were magically supported and passed by legislators and the NRA has no effect on the process. Remember there are those who think the earth is flat. Others were critical of this forum, but it appears to be mostly sour grapes for being chastised or banned for breaking forum rules. TexasCHL is the cleanest gun forum in existence and some just can't abide.
Also saw that some of Renegade's comments were removed.

Not saying I agree with either of these, but from what I've read on there, the general gist is that (1) texaschlforum.com will kick you off for sneezing the wrong way, and (2) Mr. Cotton is a bad guy because of his loyalty to WLP.

That was my take also. In the time I've been here I don't recall more than a couple of members being sent packing and they were given multiple chances to change theri ways. I recall the screen name of one, but the other name escapes me. I've only been here since mid 2009, so of course it's possible there were some before I joined.

Carl,

Sorry to hear you got banned over there. I have never joined over there so I can't really weigh in on the discussion, but for whatever reason these days people in the spotlight attract controversy like never before. Since COVID a lot of people wanted to argue and fight and do stupid things more. You can see it in traffic and with the Significantly Higher' Number Of Unruly Aircraft Passenger Reports In 2021
Through May 25, the agency has already recorded 394 potential violations, while in all of 2019 and 2020 there were just 146 and 183 violations, respectively.
I have also heard unfair attacks on Charles. The truth is that the Anti-gunners are working very hard to create division in the ranks of Second Amendment supporters. Second Amendment supporters need to recognize that and not take the bait.

Glad to still have you here!

Mr. Cotton is a dear fiend to me. I believe in loyalty. It doesn’t bother me at all. I sure don’t mind standing up to bully’s that attack my friends.

:thumbs2: I too believe in loyalty. For several years before Covid a group of us met for breakfast once a month including Charles. A stand up guy of the highest caliber!

I saw that...and thought "hey, he's a pastor, right? Well, sometimes you've gotta just tell it like it is...!" :biggrinjester:

And for the record, there's at least a 2x4 in my eye...I know that you know that reference! :biggrinjester:

I joined up there a year or so ago. Honestly, didn't see a whole lot of benefit to being a member...quit hanging out there pretty quickly.
If they were to ban me I probably wouldn't notice.

Bottom line--Dr. Carlson, you keep doing you--you are just fine.
It's their loss. Plenty of us are happy to be a part of wherever you choose to be.

Brest regards, Rich

Those that have read my lost there I do apologize. I shouldn’t have used the words I used. Mr. Cotton is my friend. One thing I have and always will do is stand behind my friends. No excuse for my words. Rest assured if you are my friend I will fight for you.

Not to worry, Carl. Since they banned you the posts are gone and any words you may have used are lost in the Ethernet! Beside being your friend we all know he is a great friend of the 2nd Amendment and all who benefit from the rights afforded to us by it.

Thank you. I am so glad they are gone because I lost my temper and said things I would never say. I was very embarrassed not for the stance I took, but the words I used. They were not curse words just hateful words I don’t use.
