BREAKING: Donald Trump was tackled by Secret Service agents when he was on the 5th hole after "pops" rang out.

According to Fox News, Trump was getting ready to putt when the incident unfolded.

The revelation came from Fox News' Sean Hannity who has spoken to Trump multiple times since the incident at Trump International Golf Club.

"They heard 'pop, pop, pop, pop.' And Steve went into great specificity and great detail as to what happened.

"Within seconds, the Secret Service pounced on the president and covered him. You had sn*pers with tripods. They knew the direction where the shots had been fired, and they had eyes on the location where the shots had been fired."

BREAKING: The Secret Service opened fire after they saw a suspected gunman at Trump International Golf Club in Florida.

According to Fox News, it was the Secret Service who opened fire.

"Fox News can now report that it was the Secret Service that fired the gunshots at the suspected gunman outside former President Trump's golf club."

"The Secret Service saw a man carrying an AK-47. The man with the AK-47 did not open fire, it was the Secret Service that opened fire."

"The man dropped the rifle and took off running. We now understand based on local reports, that that suspect is now in custody."

The development comes after CNN reported that the gunshots were "intended" for Trump.

A man with an AK-style rifle pushed the firearm’s muzzle through the perimeter of Donald Trump’s West Palm Beach, Florida, golf course Sunday as the Republican presidential candidate was playing a round, prompting U.S. Secret Service to open fire, according to three law enforcement officials. The former president is safe and unharmed.

The person dropped the weapon and fled in an SUV, and was later apprehended in a neighboring county, the officials said. The officials were not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

An AK-style firearm was recovered at the scene near Trump’s golf course, two of the officials said. And no injuries were reported.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Bradshaw: Secret Service was able to spot a rifle sticking out of the bushes and fired on the suspect some 300-400 yards away.

In the bushes where the suspect ran from, the Secret Service or law enforcement found an AK-47-style rifle with a scope, 2 backpacks that had ceramic tile at them, and a GoPro for taking photos. Bradshaw also says he has photos of everything that they will release.

Bradshaw: "Fortunately, we were able to locate a witness that came to us and said, "Hey, I saw the guy running out of the bushes, he jumped into a black Nissan, and I took a picture of the vehicle and the tags, which was great."

Said the Secret Service agent who spotted this and opened fire did a "fantastic job."

Police ran the license plate, and they tracked the vehicle on 1-95. The Martin County Sheriff's Office, alerted him, and they spotted the vehicle, pulled it over and detained the guy.

The witness then identified the person that he saw running out of the bushes and jumped into the car.

Secret Service representative uttered this statement: He thanked the Palm Beach sheriff's office and the Martin County Sheriff's Office for their involvement. Former President Donald Trump is safe and unharmed following a protective incident shortly before 2 pm on Sunday at Trump International Golf Club at West Palm Beach. The U.S. Secret Service personnel opened fire on a gunman located near the property line. And this matter is under investigation.

What I understand so far, The shooter had an AK pattern rifle and scope, a USSS agent a hole or two ahead of Trump spotted the barrel of the rifle and fired on it. The suspect fled. Agents recovered two back packs with ceramic tiles or ceramic plates (depending on who is reporting) in them at the scene. The back packs were reportedly hanging on the fence. A gopro camera was recovered from the either the scene or the suspects vehicle, officials believe the suspect planned to record the assassination attempt. The suspect may have been as close as three hundred yards away from Trump. Suspects name is reportedly Ryan Wesley Routh.

Suspect named: Ryan Wesley Routh. Anti Trump, pro Ukraine and anti Israel posts from some I have seen others report.
Meta (aka Facebook) has removed the suspect's social media. Not sure if he had Meta owned accounts on Instagram, Whatsapp etc. Elon Musk's X (Twitter) has left up the suspect's posts. I keep liking him more and more!

JUST IN: A man with the name 'Ryan Routh,' the same name as the would-be Trump assas*in suspect, is a Ukraine fanatic and Trump hater who was apparently recruiting soldiers to fight in Ukraine.

Routh's social accounts were filled with posts about recruiting soldiers for Ukraine.

He also shared anti-Trump posts throughout X.

"Soldiers, please do not call me. We are still trying to get Ukraine to accept Afghan soldiers and hope to have some answers in the coming months. If you are interested in fighting in Ukraine, you must have a passport and send it to me by way of Whatsapp..." he said in one post on FB.

"You must also have the money to purchase an airplane ticket to Moldova, if you cannot afford the cost you cannot go. We are also trying to get Taiwan to accept soldiers hopefully in the coming years. Please have patience. Ryan."

Other posts consisted of anti-Trump rhetoric.
