U S Navy Captain fires gun with scope backwards
https://nypost.com/2024/04/10/us-news/u ... -backward/
Wouldn't you notice when you looked through it?
Social media has a field day. Navy takes it down.
Is the grip in the right position helpful, or does it just make the gun cooler looking? Or is it only needed on fully automatic rifles?

There's a Gunners Mate on that ship who is not on the Captain's good side!

It also looks like the captain forgot his ear protection too.
Looking like a fool in publicity photos may be a new WH mandate after Biden put his hard hat on backwards while showing how in touch he is with blue collar types.

Re: U S Navy Captain fires gun with scope backwards
This is a good video explaining several things done wrong. But in the comments, someone posted the following which is sadly true of the state of our military leadership today:
Who cares about the what way the sight should be or whether the handle is too close to the centre. The most important thing is did they get the officers pronouns correct?!!!!

Well, at least the magazine is inserted with the correct side forward. Remember that H&K magazine ad from years ago that showed a magazine with the cartridges inserted backward?

Good. Proper handling of a firearm most likely wasn't his only shortcoming.philip964 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 8:56 am https://www.yahoo.com/news/commander-na ... 45028.html

My understanding is this was supposed to be a joke giving the Captain a goofed up rifle.
People do make practical jokes. It's ok.

He's got something in his ear. Maybe not protection, but something.
