Haven't seen prices this low recently
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.

Academy has lots of 9mm in stock. I wouldn't say it's cheaper, but it's been a long time since I saw so much in stock.

OP was referencing reloading bullets. Maybe he thought it was ammo, but it's not, just the bullet. There are certainly cheaper bullets available

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
I recently bit the bullet, pun intended, and ordered ammo online from various vendors. I was not shooting because my stock was so low. Not really outstanding prices, but much lower than previously seen. Bought .380, 9mm Lugar, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. I still need some .38 Special and .357, but my cash supply is low after ordering the other calibers. I wish I still had my reloading equipment.

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
bulk ammo seems to have a TON of 9 and 45 boxes of 1000 rounds built up
i use his site for 308s but watch the 45 and 9mm . it seems quantity us catching up to being surplus. or folks simply are spending $$ elsewhere on food and fuel
https://www.bulkammo.com/bulk-45-acp-am ... eerlm-1000 598.00 or .59 per round, stil high, but he has lots in stock

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
Yes, when I went into Academy last week, there seemed to be quite a bit more ammo on the shelf and the little carts nearby. However, some calibers are still conspicuously missing, including .38 Special/.357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .30-06, .243 Winchester, .30-30, in other words, hunting and "old-timer" cartridges. TONS of 9mm and 5.56mm, from quite a few brands. Even a decent amount of .22LR (but sadly, no .22 WMR).

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
I posted this in the ammo on sale thread.
Found some decently priced (for these days anyway) .38 Spcl 158gr jacketed rounds. $25.50/BX of 50 New. Shipping is flat rate $14.95 for any amount of rounds at Freedom Munitions. I have shot their ammo in pistol and rifle in the past and bought it online and when they had a brick and mortar shop. Never had any issues with their new or re-manufactured ammunition. This .38 Spcl ammo is new brass cased.

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
There was never an ammo "shortage", it was always available if you were willing to pay. But the going rate did get up to around $1.00 a round for 5.56, and 9mm. So I haven't been shooting at all - maybe 3-4 range trips total in the last 18 months. Heck, I have 4 guns that I have bought in that time and have never actually fired, lol.
As prices come down, I need to schedule me some range time!

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
We started inventorying our ammo stocks at home a few days ago. Let's put it this way ... unless I buy a gun in a new caliber, I won't be needing to buy ammo for "a period of time".

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
I did everyone a favor by stocking up at what I though would be the best prices. LOL Like when I wash my car it guarantees it will rain. Just got an email with .380 new ammo $18.50 bx and .40 S&W reman 17.00 bx. Other calibers available as well.

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
I had a rule that I would not pay anything over .16 per round for 9mm... When it hit .25c I was like Nope... Not going to pay that.. Then it hit .35 and I was defiantly not going to pay that.... All the way up to .50 and more. Now it's back down to an average of .32 per round and I actually go hmm... not a bad price... Still holding out though for at least .25 per round.. Though I'll probably never see that again...

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
Last year, I bought 1,000 rounds of Blazer brass 9mm for trips to the range each time I saw it in the $.35/round range. Natchez has been listing it pretty regularly at $339/1,000 loose pack box. I’d much rather be paying $.16/round, but I’m afraid we won’t see princes like those for some time to come.
