Questions about Sutherland Springs shooting

#1

Post by troglodyte »

I am working on a presentation and was looking for some details about the Sutherland Springs shooting. I've waded through countless news reports but haven't found what I'm looking for. Nor have I been able to locate any "official" documentation.

My questions are:

1) What was the timeline of LEO and medical response? I know San Antonio is about 35 miles away and responded so we can conservatively state those responders took about 35 minutes to get there. Where there DPS or sheriff patrolling in the county that got there faster? There are several other small neighboring towns. Did they respond (I assume they did) and, if so, how long did it take them?

2) Of the deceased, how many may have survived if tourniquets and wound packing would have been available? I realize this is a very subjective question but it is also one of the reasons Stop the Bleed became an initiative after the Boston Marathon and Sandy Hook.

3) How many people were in attendance that morning? I know there were 46 killed or wounded. Were there any adults that were not killed or incapacited?

I still think about this poor little church most every Sunday. May it never happen again.

First off, IIRC, there were only 26 killed and 20 others wounded. Not 46 killed.

This site seems to give a timeline of events.
