Why does this matter? Because the ability to pass on price increases and have them stick, means the surge in prices will not be transitory, no matter how many times the Biden admin, the Fed or the Treasury lie and vow the opposite.
Buffett's comments came one day after the US revealed that household incomes rose by the most in recorded history in March as the latest round of Biden stimmies hit bank accounts.
This has also pushed the total amount of government transfer payments to a record 34%. That's right: a third of all US household income is now from the state. Marx would be proud.

My parents saw depression around every corner.
I see inflation around every corner.
Housing prices have sky rocketed due to low interest rates. However, the net cost may be the same.
Gasoline is up what 40% since the low. Imagine this summer.
There is a pool chlorine shortage.
A chicken shortage?
Construction costs are way up. Copper and lumber at record prices. Contractors are having trouble holding prices 30 days.
Feds holding 30 year treasuries at what 2% saves the govt a lot of money. If it goes to 7% we become Greece or Brazil.

Prepare for global economic collapse. Every national government is debt leveraged to the max. It's unsustainable and has been for many years. Expect the "Great Depression" of the 1930's to look like good times. The fake pandemic and economic devastation is the wind to collapse the house of cards.
