Okay, this may not be an appropriate Topic, so our illustrious moderators may feel free to delete it. But it became official yesterday--per the Guinness Book of World Records--that the tallest man in the U.S. is George Bell, a Deputy Sheriff in Norfolk, Virginia.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/biz ... 83937.html
He stands 7'8", two inches taller than Yao Ming, the tallest man in the NBA. The article says: "His height doesn't intimidate jail inmates — it helps him develop a rapport. 'They've never seen anyone this tall before, so they're amazed,' Bell said. 'They want to talk.'"
But ya gotta think it might be a bit different when a bad guy first encounters Bell in an arrest situation. And of course, being who we are here on this Forum, the first thing I wondered about is what handgun he uses, and if he has to have the grip built up in order to get a proper alignment...

It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them

Re: Long Arm of the Law
Grips make it gun related. Mods to the vehicle make it LEO related. Size on an arrest makes it defense related. This is right on topic. "I THINK" ![tiphat :tiphat:](./images/smilies/tiphat.gif)
