Settler Colonialism

Re: Settler Colonialism
If you want to understand settler colonialism and its effects upon a city, compare St. Louis or Detroit to Brooklyn. Most "invasive species" don't increase property values by 3000%.

You know, the way they describe it almost makes it look like a bad thing.philip964 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 12:34 pmhttps://www.oxfordbibliographies.com/vi ... 1-0029.xml
Here is Oxfordbibliographies definition.
You could describe it from the settler's point of view instead. It is providing them with new opportunities to thrive and grow, without the repression many experienced in their homelands.

Re: Settler Colonialism
I remember when segregation was the white man's way to persecute minorities. These days it's integration that is punishing minorities. It's hard to keep up with being politically correct. We can't refer to people as Oriental, Indian, or Negros. Folks have multiple sex assignments and babies being born with specific genitals has no meaning.
I don't know if I'll ever figure these things out.

I've reached the conclusion that it is exactly the purpose that no one can figure it out. It is like playing a game with a child. The child makes up the rules as they go along because they don't know any better. The race baiters make up the rules as they go along to make sure that you and I never have a firm platform from which to oppose them. There is no better example for me than Tawana Brawley. It was a total fabrication and yet it launched Al Sharpton's career of intimidation and extortion.Liberty wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 7:51 am I remember when segregation was the white man's way to persecute minorities.
