30.06/30.07 Signs: More? Fewer?
I was just wondering what other's opinions were regarding 30.06/30.07 signs? I know that most of us, this past year have been getting out less, due to the Wuhan Flu, but, it seems to me, in the areas, I have been, that new businesses, aren't posting 30.06/30.07 signs, like they have in the past.
The city of Burleson, just to my north, has seen a huge growth of new businesses, and restaurants. I have not seen any signage, in the ones, that myself and my family have patronized. This includes my new doctor's office. (I got a new doctor, after my previous physician's practice, was taken over by a conglomerate, who's first order of business, was to post both 30.06 and 30.07 signs)
I was just curious, if this is the trend, in other areas? And whether or not anyone has had conversations, with business owners, regarding signage?

No, not any differences that I’ve personally seen. Only new places that we go to are restaurants and have yet to see any gun busters. Just the normal TABC stuff.

Seeing about the same .06 & .07 signs except on new businesses. What I am seeing a lot less of are 51% signs due to bars changing to restaurants because of COVID

I think I’m actually seeing less these days. At least in the Fort Worth area.

About the same, which is to say very, very few 30.06 signs and a scattering of 30.07, along with some non-enforceable signs.
I did go to the Buffalo Wild Wings near me and noticed that they had removed the cute "Buffalo Wild Wings Does Not Allow Guns" sign. But I think they were just trying to exclude people who self identify as a firearm, since an actual gun would not be capable of going into their restaurant on its' own. Heck, even a self propelled howitzer would need someone to drive it.

My impression is that I’m seeing fewer 30.06 and more 30.07, which is fine by me. In prohibiting open carry, they’ve tacitly approved concealed carry. I usually have something that can conceal even my OWB handgun (untucked shirt, vest, or sports jacket), so I don’t worry about it.

I see the same signs every morning when I walk into the office.

In the El Paso area as of late. Probably, same amount. I am currently working on a church to take down a 30.06 sign, they claimed they can see the dangers and problems of putting the signs up (since March 2019) but much slower in taking the signs down.

The Corpus Christi area seems to have gone on a sign rampage the past week or so. Receiving numerous notifications via email every day on new signs going up. Have no reason why the sudden uptick.

I noticed at the new UTMB in league city, they had the typical 30.07 on the glass, but the 30.06 was not there. Came as a surprise because the campus in Galveston has both signs.

Very few of the entries added recently in the Corpus area are actually new signage. Auditing via photos in Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc place their origin in the 2017-2019 range. They were just missed on previous passes thru the metro area.

Re: 30.06/30.07 Signs: More? Fewer?
I've worked at identifying and adding signs to listing in my area. There have been very few adds and a few take downs, I think that it is about the same and very predictable. The "chains" like Sprouts and Whole Foods plus most medical facilities and gyms comprise the 30.06 places. The restaurants make up the 30.07 locations. I follow the same approach as you in making sure that I have some sort of cover, however limited it might be. I'm carrying more OWB now than before and it doesn't conceal really well like I did when I was worried about it.E10 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 11:55 am My impression is that I’m seeing fewer 30.06 and more 30.07, which is fine by me.
