I still use Chrome myself but I really like the new version of Microsoft Edge. Anything Chromium based is going to be pretty good.

Chrome exists for the sole purpose of spying on you. Same thing with gmail. I converted everything to protonmail and firefox, and am actively moving back to linux.

Why protonmail over Thunderbird if you like Mozilla products?

I've used Thunderbird for years and am perfectly satisfied with it.

They're not the same thing, i.e. I use protonmail exclusively WITH Thunderbird. Thunderbird is an email CLIENT, and as long as you configure it correctly, doesn't care whether it's pulling/sending messages from/to a hotmail/gmail/yahoo mail/America Online/protonmail et c. server. Protonmail is an email sever that HAS a web interface, but like you I prefer Thunderbird's. So I use protonmail for its secure servers and Thunderbird as my email and calendar client.

I hope that clears things up.

Ah okay I get it. Sorry, didn't connect that as your provider.

I've had the same email address for 20+ years so reluctant to change it. And you can't get "verizon.net" emails any more

Actually, I still get verizon.net emails. It started out as gte.net years ago then changed to verizon.net.

No i meant you can't get an @verizon.net email anymore 😕

All of my primary email addresses are @verizzon.net, they were grandfathered in when Verizon bought AOL a few years ago.

Oh! I must have been grandfathered in. I am guessing that means if i change my email, no more verizon.net on end of it. Thanks for the heads up. I did not know this.
