If you do mail in your ballot you can check to see if it was received and accepted, I know it works for Harris County https://www.harrisvotes.com/VotingInfo

Works in McLennan County also. What's they don't tell you is if your ballot passed the signature verification check and will be counted, and you have no way of finding out.

Speaking of mail-in ballots and how the U.S. Postal Service should be trusted in all things...

Just got off the phone with American Express. My card expires next month, and I'd been expecting a new one in the mail, as per usual. Got two text messages--because I have the notifications set--that I'd made two back-to-back purchases at a tire company for over $1,100 and $1,500 respectively.

The AMEX fraud department handled the problem to perfection. The USPS had delivered the card...but not to me. The fraudulent charges were attempted at the same Discount Tire store somewhere in Houston, so the card landed in the correct city at least.

If the USPS considers getting a replacement credit card to the correct city as accurate enough, then lord help us all.

Travis County mailed out 13,000 ballots they later “discovered” were faulty, so they mailed out another 13,000 ballots to “rectify” their error.
Asked how they were going to determine if the recipients did not vote twice, the answer was, “we will compare signatures”.
I kid you not, you can’t make this stuff up!
