Trump invites two suspended football players who carried pro police and firemen flags on stage with him at a rally.
There is a ray of hope in this upside down world.

Ricin mailed to White House.
Very difficult to make without killing yourself.
Canadian had a back up plan to assassinate Trump.

They are saying its going to be Amy for SCOTUS.
Already criticism of her adoptions. Something about cultural appropriation or something stupid like that.

How much will Bloomberg pay somebody to say he was raped by her? Asking for a friend.

And the other side has already made them an “issue”.
Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
The only thing they can really go after her for is being "Catholic."
Sadly, most of the country is too illiterate and uneducated to know that JFKs enemies went after him for that same reason. What's more, both Biden and Ginsberg claimed to be catholic. (I say claimed because the Catholic religion DEFINITELY is against abortion. It's like claiming to be a Christian while not believing in God.)
The left seems to think these are merely talking points. That is what they have turned life and death issues into, thought processes. (I use the word "thought" liberally. No pun intended.)

Here is an article on how she is a colonialist for adopting two black children from Haiti. Haiti is a very very poor place and they had the earthquake and Bill and Hilary with GWB's help robbed them of the charity people from America gave them to recover. And yeah the guy who was going to testify against them from Haiti committed suicide in a motel room the night before.

Since Ginsburg was Jewish, I am curious about the statement that she had claimed to be Catholic. Any links to this?
But along the lines of your other statements, I remember being told that the attacks on JFK' for being Catholic included questioning if his first loyalty would be the the US or to the Pope. And that this backfired and actually helped him get elected. And, unfortunately, I agree that this was when history was taught in school (though this was almost current events to me).

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
I got a little curious as to how Barrett did with her Court of Appeals (7th Circuit) confirmation process. So, I went to look up the yeas and nays. She was confirmed 55-43 with 2 democrats not voting.
It was a MOSTLY party line vote, with 3 democrats voting to confirm her; Donnelly (D-IN), Manchin (D-WV) and Kaine (D-VA). Yes, the democrat's VP nominee from 2016 Tim Kaine voted to confirm her to the Court of Appeals in October 2017, just 3 years ago.
Of those 3 democrats, Manchin and Kaine are STILL in the senate today. Donnelly was replaced by a republican in 2018. Manchin voted to confirm Kavanaugh. So even with Murkowski and Collins backing away from confirming a new SCOTUS justice, it would appear the remaining republicans plus a couple potential democrats should be enough to confirm Barrett with little trouble.

I was going by a statement on TV where somebody was speaking as they took her to the capitol. I don't remember who it was, but it was a lady who then said words over her coffin. She said she was Jewish/Catholic. I commented to my wife how can you be both?ELB wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 1:24 amI suspect he had a brain burp and meant Pelosi.srothstein wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 10:41 pmSince Ginsburg was Jewish, I am curious about the statement that she had claimed to be Catholic. Ah. RGB’s parents were Jews and they raised her in Jewish religion, altho Ruth apparently distanced herself from the religious aspect when a teen because women were not allowed some religious ceremonies. Ruth married a Jew (at least by heritage, I don't know if he was observant).
