The folks shot were all criminals who had been convicted of violent crimes. They were also in the process of committing other violent crimes when they were shot, namely assaulting the guy who shot them. These are not "innocent victims". Innocent victims do not chase down an armed man who has his back turned and is attempting to leave the scene. We can all debate whether it was a good idea for Kyle to be in that area, but the fact remains that unlike the people he shot, he did not go there with the express intent to commit criminal acts.

By all appearances Kyle was not a "vigilante". He was trying to protect property (not a choice I would have made, but not a bad thing either), and he was also trying to help injured folks regardless of what side they were on. The way this is being covered by the MSM has more to do with their hatred of everything related to our current President than it has to do with any underlying facts.

This is a really good article, but this really stood out at me:

Withdraw the police long enough, and you get Kyle Rittenhouse. The shame of it is that so many able-bodied men in Kenosha relied on a boy from Illinois to defend their streets. (emphasis mine).

I don't disagree with your actual statement in the least regarding the MSM and this being another avenue of attack because of them hating President Trump. However, I only want to know ONE thing in regards to this post: is that guy "Sifty" out right now "capping communists" or some such?

No, he isn’t. He’s just a guy I follow on Twitter.

With the exception of no knock warrants, the same can be said about the very people whose lives the rioters are using for anarchy.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

:iagree:

There are some cases where some police officers overstep their bounds. And those cases rightly deserve an angry, but civil, reaction. But we have gotten to the point where the minute any Black person is killed by police there is an instant riot without waiting for, or caring about, the facts. That is wrong.

Blindly declaring someone as a "victim" solely because of the color of their skin, regardless of the relevant facts, is wrong. And its racist.

Talk on the internet is that the DA plans to get all the video thrown out as inadmissible.

Most of what we have seen is screen shots of video live and maybe no one has the unedited original.

Maybe the DA will then solicit Antifa and BLM witnesses who were there and get their eye witness testimony.

Facebook removing posts supporting Kyle.

Considers it a mass shooting.
