Gifts for students

#1

Post by Tex1961 »

I’ve got a few classes that I’m scheduled to teach “Intro to handguns” and thought it would be nice to have something to give my students. Looking for ideas for something inexpensive but not cheap or cheesy. I do a lot of family groups, so something that would also be appropriate for younger students as well as the adults.

Any ideas ?

Don't know how inexpensive you're thinking but what about challenge coins?

From what I was finding on a search, you can find solid copper 2A coins for that.

Now that’s a great idea. I found them for $1.00 each, so very inexpensive but something that I hope won’t just get stuck in the back of a drawer.

Some sort of small gun cleaning kit or cleaning mat? When I've taught a beginner I'd give them a laminated page of the 4 basic rules of gun handling that was small enough to fit in a small case/bag. You could see if you could work something with the gun range to give the beginner one range session - you pay the range $5 for it and they get a satisfied customer that keeps coming back because they know the range.

If there is a time I can meet up with you, I'd be more than happy to meet up somewhere and give you one of these challenge coins. I'm in Plano if it helps.

Excellent idea.

And thanks for the folks that provided links for the copper coins.
silver is a bit spendy to give away in quantity. Copper is way nicer than pewter.
