For years they have been talking about changing the name. Now because of BLM it's going to happen. Also saw some people want the Texas Rangers to change the name. How about NY Yankees? Why not call all teams by a number? It's getting so ridiculous I can't see how we can survive between the virus and BLM?

The 49ers, were a group of men who set out to strip the California wilderness in search of gold. I don't care what they do...all "professional" sports no longer care about their fans. All of them are virtue signalling political entities who believe that alienating their fans will make them richer.

All of these former entertainment outlets only continue to exist because of the massive television money thrown at them. Kansas City loves their Chiefs. The Native American in full feather regalia riding on a pinto horse "Warpaint" has been replace by a pretty blonde woman riding "Warpaint". The fans make a hatchet motion with their arms in the stands. Their symbol is a stone arrowhead.

And their name is Chiefs.

And there is discussions that they will be next to change their name.

Having said that, the best suggestion I've seen yet (from Twitter) is the Washington Foreskins.

Being an ex-logterm Cowboy fan, that is what I called them, especially when John Riggins was in the backfield.
