This is a view from the international space station of an area in West Texas that had been used as an outdoor gun range for .45 ACP shooters. That portion of the state is now unpopulated and Governor Abbott has a task force working on how the land might be reclaimed and made liveable again.

I've been to that site once. I recovered a single .45 ACP slug and used it to cast some 9mm rounds during this shortage. So far, I've cast 1683 9mm bullets from that single 45 ACP slug. I'm about a third way through that slug so far.

Brought my recently purchased Kimber 1911 home in this. Chuck Norris was tied up and couldn't carry it home for me.

For people who normally shoot Glocks and other toy handguns, shooting a 45 ACP for the first time may result with this.

Funny my polymer .45 AARP doesn't do that.

I see a lot of memes from confused souls that have misinterpreted 10mm as .45 ACP.

All hail the 1cm!

Enough joking. Time to be serious. 1911s truly are heavy in comparison to Glock and SIG pistols. There's a reason why special gun belts exist for those who carry 1911s on a daily basis.

My double stack 1911 is heavy, but with a good belt on you forget about it.

Not all 1911s are that heavy. Try a Dan Wesson Valkyrie in 45 ACP. 28 ounces. It is a delight to carry and superbly accurate.

You can't expect this group to be serious, especially in a thread that starts out with Poking Fun, can you? Besides, I will be picking up two guns tomorrow that will be very similar in weight to the 1911. (i will start bulking up later this evening)
