their attitude is the arrogance of ignorance, in this case ignorance properly defined as 'contempt prior to investigation'Liberty wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 6:06 amMost of the people caught up in all of this are not so much arrogant, but ignorant. They have been conditioned to believe that bad guys need to just walk into a gun store and pick up a handgun or even an M16 just the same as buying a bottle of wine. They have been conditioned to believe that the government will always be there to protect them. Talk of civil unrest brought images of militia groups from the desert hills raiding their villages, not unemployed illegal aliens invading neighborhoods to steal food and supplies at the height of depression and civil unrest.wil wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 12:41 am glad to see the arrogant fools in that article are getting a taste of their own medicine, finally get to live under the "laws" they foolishly supported out of the arrogance of their ignorance.
saw the same type of fools at the start of the LA riots, standing there whining about " a waiting period!!! I need a gun now!!!!"
just stood there and enjoyed watching the fools take thier own medicine and find out what their ignorance has forced on the rest of us at the expense of our civil rights.
I have no mercy or regard for their kind.
When your life is in a Democratic-controlled region your information tends to be monotonal, your friends the media all have the same message. Any conservative messaging is treated as nutcase extremism. We can't do much about the arrogance those minds are already closed. Our only defense is this mindset is education that can reach into the ignorant minds.
theirs is a subtle arrogance based on what they think they know. They think they are morally superior and intellectually superior to the rest of us based on where they stand on such things, etc.
"led to believe" no, they chose to believe in the 'Big Lie" as practised by the modern leftist media rather than take the time to mentally investigate what they are being told as to whether or not it is the truth.
They gave in to the immediate mental and emotional gratification such a choice brings, that being the aforementioned mental and emotional state. Rather than take the time to make the harder choice in terms of seeking the truth.
I agree, thier minds are closed to anything which contradicts what they've chosen to believe, it is due to they would have to face the truth about themselves, hence how stridently angry and potentially hostile they are.
There is no defense against that mindset, those people are beyond reach owing to the cowardice of the choices they've made.
the best we can do is not waste time on them, moreso attempt to reach those portions of the public who are still mentally and emotionally reachable.

Regardless of how you feel about them- USE THIS OPPORTUNITY to help convert them! Clearly some people didn't know how the laws in place worked and now have seen the light of day. Belittling them might cause them to revert back... a little compassion (something they are used to) goes a long way to showing them we are already in an overly restrictive environment.
Even if only a small percentage change- that helps our cause. Votes are votes!

There are those in the public whom fall into this category, the types of people in this article are not.
even amongst these types of people that are buying a gun, it is an act of hypocrisy. They'll engage a civil right when it suits their purpose, the very same civil right they sought to deny or infringe on when it suited their purpose.
It is not a result of them having 'seen the light' of truth, it is the myopic self-centeredness of these kinds of people and the mental and moral cowardice of hypocrisy it produces in them.
they deserve no compassion or regard of any kind and to do so is a mistake as doing so will not change anything within them, to show them such is a mistake Trad American has made for far too long.

Yeah, that last paragraph of mine was the simply the stupidest thing I’ve ever written on this forum.

You're painting with a pretty broad brush there, amigo. I think you'd be plenty offended if we lumped you with any and every fringe element that also supports the 2A.wil wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 11:45 am

I have a couple of friends that have converted over the past few years from dems to LTC holders who champion the cause and now vote with us.
If you honestly believe what you wrote, do the rest of us a favor and stay quiet... and let those of us that are willing to invest in others, affect change.

you are correct, this is one of the most stupidly ignorant posts I've seen on this forum in a long time.Vol Texan wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 12:19 pmApparently people cannot change, and even if they do, you’ll never accept them.wil wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 11:45 amfrom my previous post:flechero wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 10:37 am Regardless of how you feel about them- USE THIS OPPORTUNITY to help convert them! Yeah, that last paragraph of mine was the simply the stupidest thing I’ve ever written on this forum.
by no measure does it genuinely address the specific delineations I directly made regarding human behavior and the specific reasons I offered as a legitimate basis for addressing that behavior.

third time, from my two previous posts : "....the best we can do is not waste time on them, moreso attempt to reach those portions of the public who are still mentally and emotionally reachable."
see that part where it says about reaching "..those portions of the public who are still mentally and emotionally reachable" ?
1. can you give me a basis of validity as to why your response is in any way a legitimate response owing to you either deliberately ignored what I specifically wrote in terms of delineating the difference in peoples behavior not once but twice.
Or did not bother to read what I specifically stated and hence your post is done in the very ignorance I specified.
That being contempt prior to investigation.
yes or no.
