Yeah, you want to be careful about that. There is a good chance the active ingredients in your BP medicine come from China. Word has it they may cut us off.

I've been stockpiling for a while... I have a 5 months supply. But I agree that we've been derelict in managing supply chain exposure on lots of critical things..

One good thing to come out of this is the exposure of just how many of our drugs are supplied by China. Until a week ago, I had no idea we were getting drugs from them. Like many Americans I just assumed our prescription drugs were manufactured in the USA. Now they have us over a barrel. I am more concerned with them deciding to cut off our antibiotic supplies than Coronavirus. But I have never liked Corona, never drank Corona, so I am not gonna get the virus.

You are probably right. It is like our politicians never learn. Maybe it is because they all know we will just keep sending them back to Washington no matter how much they screw us all.

Back in the early 70's I remember my uncles, all union members, saying that foreign companies would be the death blow to American jobs. Boy were they ever right! China pretty much owns us now. Americans fell in love with cheap products from Walmart. It made exporting jobs to China in one form or the other very easy to do. Now we pay the piper!

To take it a step further, the NCAA has also cancelled all Spring sports. This means no Basketball tournament, college baseball, track & field, etc.

The next time I'll get to watch my Red Raiders play ANY sport, will be late August when football season starts.

With our 149th Annual Meeting scheduled for next month in Nashville, we realize many NRA members and meeting guests have questions about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the potential impact on our convention.

We have been closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Tennessee Department of Health. In fact, earlier today, a state of emergency was declared in Tennessee.

Therefore, we have reluctantly decided to cancel this year’s NRA Annual Meeting, planned for April 16 – 19 in Nashville. This applies to all events and scheduled programs, including the NRA-ILA Forum.

So much for my road trip to Nashville next month. I guess that means a trip to Brownells in June is looking more and more likely for me as funds get freed.

But we've done very little testing so far. Let's wait and see what the numbers look like once more tests have been completed here. It's the lack of testing followed by increased testing that has resulted in such sudden jumps in numbers in other countries.

137,000 world, 5000 dead, 1700 in the US. Almost 15,000 in Italy. China is still holding near 80,000. What the graph shows is that the infection in China has leveled off while the rest of the world is increasing. The infected in the rest of the world is reaching the number in China. Of course this is if you believe China's numbers.

A news report said we exchanged missiles with Iran last night. That would normally be a big deal.

There was no meat in the meat department at HEB last night. People figured out they cannot eat TP or live on water alone.
