Trump's original tweet said Kansas. Changed to Missouri.
To be fair the Kansas City Metropolitan area is on both sides of the State Line Road. There is also a Kansas City, Kansas as well as a Kansas City, Missouri. The stadium where the games are played is located in Missouri. Kansas City, Missouri is the largest of the cities that comprise the Kansas City Metropolitan area by far, they include the two Kansas Cities, Independence, Liberty, Leawood, Lenexa, Overland Park, Raytown, Grandview, Lee's Summit, Gladston, North Kansas City, Olathe, Shawnee, Mission, Prairie Village, and more.

Bloomberg should not be allowed to stand on a box during the debates.
Trump calls him Mini Mike. I think MIke is of average height for a man. But I said the same thing about Mike Dukakis.

Trump, GOP Approval Soars in New Gallup Poll

Among the highlights

Among the highlights
Sixty-three percent of Americans now approve of the way Trump is handling the economy, up six points from the prior reading in November. It is the highest economic approval rating not only for Trump, but for any president since George W. Bush enjoyed stratospheric job approval ratings in the first few months after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

73% back use of National Guard to secure the border against illegal migrants
That's the Mexican National Guard. The poll was taken in Mexico by newspaper El Financerio. 64% favor closing the [Guatemala] border to migrants entirely, and an even higher percentage for using the NG to control the border.

This tracks with a poll taken back in June 2019 that showed 63% favoring closing the Guatemala border to migrants, and an even higher percentage for using the NG to strictly enforce border control. This was in the wake of Trump telling Mexico that he will impose higher import tariffs if Mexico doesn't get control of the caravans crossing their country.

Trump said he would build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. Mexicans believe him.
This is an interesting site that is tracking the progress of the various sub-projects to build the wall:

No idea about its accuracy but it looks very interesting.

While the Dems and the lesser courts were fighting the Donald on the physical wall (and phony Russian collusions and phony impeachments) Trump was building another wall further south. Not bad for a 'checker' player.Translation of excerpt from El Fianciero article:
On the issue of migrants, the survey reveals important movements of opinion in recent months. The proportion of Mexicans who agree to employ the National Guard to stop the flow of Central American migrants on the southern border increased 18 points, from 55 to 73 percent, between July 2019 and January 2020. Support for the closure of Borders rose 15 points, from 49 to 64 percent between November of last year and January of this year, registering the highest percentage of border closure support to migrants in the series of surveys.
The proportion of respondents who agree with the idea that Mexico became the “wall” of Donald Trump for his work to detain Central American migrants increased from 44 percent in July 2019, to 52 percent in the month of January. The idea of the “wall” became a majority perception.

Treacherous, malignant narcissist, empty-suit, old man Ken doll Mitt Romney votes to convict Trump. Hope this gives Utans the impetus they need to yank him from office through a recall.

"Mitt"'s real name is Willard....wasn't there a movie about him?Redneck_Buddha wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 3:05 pm Treacherous, malignant narcissist, empty-suit, old man Ken doll Mitt Romney votes to convict Trump. Hope this gives Utans the impetus they need to yank him from office through a recall.
I never thought I'd say this...I'm kinda glad Obama kicked his butt. I can only imagine how much worse Romney-care would be than Obama-care.
Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
Oddly enough I think you're right. Without Obama there would not have been Trump, and I cannot imagine any other Republican with his backbone and smarts. Not even Ted Cruz, and I really like Ted, but Trump is a real fighter and he's had decades of experience taking and giving punches and risks in the business world that I think has transferred to his political efforts.Grayling813 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 3:51 pm

It said a lot about George Romney when Nixon picked Agnew over him as a running mate.

Trump not guilty on first impeachment charge abuse of power.
I felt Romney was the better Democrat in the 2012 election. I still feel I was right and his vote today confirms it.

Trump acquitted on both charges.
Now, how long till the next impeachment or investigation.

I'm curious. Since the Senate is going to provide the House and Secretary of State the results of the trial; does Nancy use one of her expensive pens to sign some sort of receipt? Or does she simply tear the report up?

Maybe the Senate should wait 33 days to deliver the results of the vote to the House. Hopefully, that would delay the next impeachment.
