Why Won't You Remember Me?
Hello:
When I log in, I always check the box "Remember Me", but it never does when I come back to the website. My computer is set to accept cookies from this site. I have no problems with other gun forums except this one. Any suggestions?
James

If your computer is running any type of anti-spyware software in the background, you may have to open that up and specifically tell it to allow the cookie. Otherwise when you close your browser, poof it's gone.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

Also, try bookmarking the "already logged in" home page, instead of the "pre-logged in" home page.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

Another quick thought is to try not clicking the "Log Out" link when you're through reading. Just close your browser. Logging out releases the session ID--also stored as part of the cookie--and this might be part of the problem.

If so, right-click on the bookmark and left-click on 'Properties'. What's the URL? If it's http://www.texaschlforum.com/ this may be causing a problem - I was not able to log in at all as long as that was the URL.
After poking around I figured out that the URL had to be http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_Forum/ in order for me to be able to login.
