We Don't Need No Stinkin' 5th Amendment!
Remember the "good ol' days" when we used to say: "Big Brother is Watching." ? Here's just one more example of the fact that he's doing much more than just "watching" now...
Re: We Don't Need No Stinkin' 5th Amendment!
That's going to run up hard on a previous SCOTUS ruling. I don't know how they managed to twist their logic.

Big brother is always watching and they do indeed store all your texts/phone calls ect. In databases." the age of increasing encryption, courts have been asked to order suspects to give up their fingerprints, face scans and passwords to unlock phones that could lead to make-or-break evidence in a case."
Only use Encrypted Devices, never use fingerprints or face scans on your devices!
As far as the password goes they are overstepping once again. How exactly can they Force you to disclose the password? Water boarding or some other kind of torture?
Depends on whats on that phone it may be best to just say no, wonder how long they could keep you locked up if you didn't comply?
One of my biggest mistakes in life...Is Believing people will show me the same love I've shown them. ![reddevil :reddevil](./images/smilies/reddevil.gif)

Or in the case of a simple 'password'....I would just tell them 'I can't remember it'.

It's pretty easy - you just decide which way you want to rule and then make up the reasons for your decision that support your ruling.Jago668 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2019 9:57 am That's going to run up hard on a previous SCOTUS ruling. I don't know how they managed to twist their logic.
