I would go with one of those Mitsubishi wall units. They work nice and affordable

Nothing wrong with overkill- I went with 3" on top of a fully welded machine table. I could park a truck on top of it and not have to worry. Sadly though, I'm having shoulder surgery so no more loading for several months.
I'll have to live vicariously through you guys for a while.

Yep. I would go with the split Unit plus insulation for the Attic, 2 walls. The Garage door is already done. Floow is already done.TreyHouston wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 10:17 amI would go with one of those Mitsubishi wall units. They work nice and affordable
Next would lights, 2 Fride/Freezer outlet for my wife and new 10 outlets for my bench wall area. And, 4' LED lights in the cieling. 1 m4' LED light aove my bench

I consider it mandatory.
I think I'd box up my gear- if reloading in the garage was my only option! Between the heat from 2 vehicles and humidity, my garage is much less comfortable than just being outside. I consider loading to be a clean, controlled activity... not something I want to do while dripping sweat all over, and losing focus from the heat.

The title of this thread is appropriate. I started the bench last Sunday. Got stain on it today. Worked all three days this weekend and during a couple of evenings after work. Now I just need to move it in the room, bolt the top down and rub some linseed oil on it.

You could probably make money betting people to read the vernier.Boxerrider wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:27 pm Matui vernier caliper came from my paternal grandpa and will always have a home here, but my eyes have an increasingly difficult time with the vernier scale.

I started teaching my buddy how to reload his 300BLK. We went through operating a Hornady Ammo plant, setting dies, case decapping, case SS wet washing and case sizing. Then, he bailed out to rest at home.

Calculators, computer-aided drafting, and now inexpensive electronic measuring tools. . . lining up marks will soon be a skill of dinosaurs, won't it.jason812 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2019 9:24 pmYou could probably make money betting people to read the vernier.Boxerrider wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:27 pm Matui vernier caliper came from my paternal grandpa and will always have a home here, but my eyes have an increasingly difficult time with the vernier scale.

Need to oil removable shelves on the ends and rough sand the spot in the middle to see if I can get stain to take.

Will be putting stain on this shortly. Of course I did 2 layers of 3/4 plywood.
Just in case it needs to be used as a bench too.

Re: What Did You Do In The Reloading Room This Week?
The maple on this didn't show the grain after staining like the oak did on the bench. I still have a lot to learn messing with wood. I got 1 drawer done and ran out of wood. I need one more sheet for the other 2 drawers and a bookshelf similar to the reloading bench.
Also, I got a mess to clean up.

Nothin'! I need to go out to the shop, round up/sort out my various tools, accessories, components, empties, etc and sell or trade the lot of 'em.
My interests have drifted to CHL protection and quality air guns. I can shoot my various .177 caliber frauleins comfortably from our covered patio and can retreat back inside when the shooting need has been fulfilled.
