Notice which individual the article quotes, as if he's some sort of a leader. Well, that guy doesn't speak for me in the least. Good ol' mass news media tricks on full display.

Perhaps it is just me, but I'm fond of asking the question "what problem are we trying to solve?" Under the guise of responding to the El Paso attack, we suddenly are playing "let's suppose" with other, never happened before situations.

I have a Facebook friend who was at the rally. I've read his accounts of the protest. While his photos suggest that the crowd wasn't huge, it was at least a showing. Having Willeford there adds some credibility to the message, at least for me.

Again, I'll say it is just me but our Gov. seems pretty anxious to side with the gun control proponents. I'll add to it that I hold him, in large part, responsible for a Legislative session that could have tipped the scales in favor of a blue wave. If that does happen, he could be the last Republican gov. of Texas. I don't pretend to understand the undercurrents of Texas politics but none of this seems like those currents are flowing in a friendly direction toward ANYTHING that the Republican party claims to represent.
