I stopped watching several years ago, too. It is clear to me that they no longer respect their fan base. This is just icing on that cake.

That will prove to be a good idea when they build a successful Speedway at the Meadowlands. NASCAR is, essentially, betting they can attract urban SJWs faster than they'll loose their historical fan base. I'd bet heavily against this decision.

I never realized that the Dixie Chicks, if they hadn't self destructed, would be criticized today for their name and libs would be calling for boycotts. Didn't I read that some Fair was called the Dixie Fair and they were changing their name.

I'd have to guess the fan base for NASCAR own firearms. I also saw that NASCAR turned down a sponsor from a heavy metal band. The way attendance for races is going if I was NASCAR I'd be careful who they want to spite.

Most of them aren't well attended already. If it wasn't for television revenue NASCAR probably wouldn't exist anymore.

Yeah, watching Indy and NASCAR on TV is about as exciting as watching paint dry. The only thing that raises eyebrows is the occasional crash, and what the heck, now you can watch 30-minute crash compilations on YouTube, so what's left?

I enjoy being at the track for a race. There's something visceral about all that horsepower. But, watching NASCAR on TV is BORING!

And Indy is a total yawn, even at the track.
