TX: speaking of veteran memorials

Dallas approves sale of Robert E Lee statue removed from City Park.
Min price of 450k, cost to remove it. (Really)
Cannot be displayed inside Dallas City Limits even if on private land. (Seems that would violate 1st Amendment)
After the Socialists take over the US will Vietnam memorials be next?

Re: TX: speaking of veteran memorials
and just what would they do if someone put it on their private property? because something tells me that if someone had that kind of money to spend and the back bone to do it, they would be ready for the 1st Amendment fight....and that would be fun to watch.

How can the city justify selling this relic of slavery? If it is so bad that it can't be displayed, how is it ok to just sell it and not have it destroyed?
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Different ballgame for vandals should the REL statue become private property and the vandals strike during darkness
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

They should leave the statue in City Park until somebody buys it.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Already gone - they removed it back in 2017. It's in a warehouse somewhere.ninjabread wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 5:51 pm They should leave the statue in City Park until somebody buys it.
