Arizona (except for the Navajo, who do observe daylight saving time on tribal lands), Hawaii, and the overseas territories of American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands do not observe DST. Works for them; should work well for the rest of us.

Arizona and Hawaii do not observed DST. All U.S. insular territories with civilian government (American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands) lie in the tropics and do not observe DST.

It's also mostly used in North America and Europe, but not anywhere else.

I like it the way it is currently. Light out until after 8PM in the summer. Dawn around 6:30 ish most of the year. As much as I don't like it dark by 5:30 PM (Standard Time), I prefer this to dawn coming after 7:30 AM in the short-day seasons (as would be the case if we kept DST all year).

I'd be ok with Zulu Time. I have to use it every day at work anyway...

Pick one, I don't care which.
The "it's for the children" isn't a sufficient excuse to interfere with everyone else's life. If you don't like your kid's bus stop, YOU move it, YOU install lights, YOU petition the school board to change class start times, or YOU make alternate arrangements for the kid to get to school.

Except for maybe the National Institute of Standards atomic clock system (NTP), it's not the government's job to tell me what time it is......

I'm pretty sure if the population votes we won't be changing the clocks anymore. Just end it!

I say kill daylight savings for sure. I'm OK with the ballot vote as long as we stick to a single time. I am DONE with having to deal with time changes. Now if we were to stick with standard time year round (my preference), then that would be some nice icing on the cake.

There are two tricks to this, as I understand it. The first trick is to amend the Constitution to allow the public to vote on a statewide referendum like this. The second trick with this bill is that we are given the choice which time to keep but there is no option to keep daylight savings time.
