You aren't planning on carrying where it isn't legally allowed, are you? Please don't.

Would not be a good idea . I was down there a few years back and they had a full TSA check point at the front door. Had to get out of line, walk back to car and lock up gun. Then get back in line at the back

Guys, it's just a simple question I'm not planning on carrying on federal property or whatever but I'm concerned because me personally if there is a bunch of metal detectors and wanding pr pat downs I do go to these places I refuse to support any places that do these things so I'm curious exactly what they have there

If they're gonna disarm me, I prefer to have metal detectors. I know it's still security theater, but, better than nothing.

I recommend downloading Texas3006 app. or going to the website... There you can search the database for locations that have carry restrictions.

Yes, although 18 USC 930 specifically exempts pocket knives with blades less than 2 1/2 inches I have yet to meet a security officer at a federal facility who was aware of this. Usual response when I pointed this out was a blank stare.
Also, some few places (looking at you JBSA) believe "facility" includes everything within the fence.

Had issue going to Astro game last year small Swiss Army knife 1.25" blade carried on key chain. They said it was a weapon I corrected them that it was a tool (daughter got a kick out of that). Anyways I just said I would take it back to car. Took it off key chain slipped in wallet and went in another gate no problem. Heck I could do more damage ripping open an aluminum can and or replica baseball bats they sell.
