But I’m paranoid to mention slippery slopes and whatnot. In a USA Today op-ed entitled “Ban assault weapons, buy them back, go after resisters,” Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., argued Thursday that prior proposals to ban assault weapons “would leave millions of assault weapons in our communities for decades to come.”

Is Swillwell going to suggest again that nuclear weapons be used against resisters?

I would like to once again point out that these elitist tyrants are not the ones who will come and kick in our doors to confiscate our 2nd amendment rights. They will send someone else to do their dirty work. The elitist tyrants are the ultimate cowards.

A lot of things have to happen before the good Congressman gets his wish. His legislation has to be accepted by the House, passed in the Senate and signed by the President. Then, enough law enforcement officials need to agree to enforce it. As we have seen even in Liberal places like Washington State, at least some refuse to enforce laws that they believe violate the 2nd Amendment.anygunanywhere wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 9:04 am I would like to once again point out that these elitist tyrants are not the ones who will come and kick in our doors to confiscate our 2nd amendment rights. I still have a boat. If somehow all of this does come to pass, I fear a terrible boating accident is in my future where all of my guns fall into the lake.

The general populace is not dialed in to what is happening. Yesterday the DFW Gun Show was the smallest and least attended in my memory.
Civilian partipation in training seems to have decreased as well, at least in my (non quantitative) observation.
Meanwhile, the heat is being turned up under the soon to be boiling pot.

I'm beginning to believe a great majority of Americans, even many who own guns for hunting, competition and self defense, are willing to stand by and go along with the globalists in the uni-parties agenda to disarm the citizenry.Bitter Clinger wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 9:45 am The general populace is not dialed in to what is happening. Re: Swalwell wants to take your guns
On one level, I think that Swalwell is a publicity seeking opportunist. But I listened to this interview. (it is the lower of the two links on the page.)

Carlson accuses him several times of wanting confiscation and Swalwell pushes back on that characterization of his words. But it is clearly what he means. He is far more dangerous than Feinstein in my view.

Swalwell sounds like "King" George III, only more insane:
history.comIn 1778 George lapsed into a months-long period of violent insanity. He was restrained with a straitjacket and suffered various treatments as crisis of rule unfolded around him.
