I'm hoping for a dem on dem bloodbath, much worse than we saw with the Rep's. Maybe they will damage each other beyond repair. Of course, I wonder who bought the dem fix this time around????

BETO O’ROURKE WONDERS IF THE CONSTITUTION STILL WORKS
In a lengthy interview with The Washington Post, potential presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke wondered if the United States Constitution might be too outdated to deal with the issues facing the country.
Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. - John Adams

Same old, tired socialist mantra, repackaged in a young shiny face in order to gain ground in the agenda to destroy our Republic.Pawpaw wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 3:24 pm BETO O’ROURKE WONDERS IF THE CONSTITUTION STILL WORKS

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Beto is not running for Senator against Cornyn.
Has other plans.
I almost feel he could beat Cornyn.

Beto O'Rourke has decided not to run for U.S. Senate next year against Texas Republican incumbent John Cornyn and likely will announce a campaign for president soon, people close to the former El Paso congressman told The Dallas Morning News on Wednesday.

I just hope there is a real conservative to run against Cornyn in the primary. After all, Cornyn is not like us.

It seems that not all liberals are in love Robert. Here is an article by the decidedly non-conservative Ruben Navarrette on what annoys him about ‘Beto’.

Beto announces run for President.
Article compares him to Regan. I’m going to make a comparison to Kennedy except without the war hero part and the Senator part.
Everyone likes his dog.

Beto is no Kennedy. Read a biography on Kennedy. He was a womanizer (probably much more so than Clinton) but was much more conservative that Beto.

Mods, since its relevant can we re-name this thread "Can Beto really beat Donald Trump?"
I have a feeling that many of the points made in this thread will wind up applying to the next election.
(Sadly) my money is on Kamila, Beto and Bernie winding up as the three main players at the end, with Beto edging out the other two a few months into the primaries. I'm betting Beto 'clinches' on or around the Indiana primary but before the Arkansas, Kentucky, and Oregon primaries... And that the Dem convention sticks with the expected result.
Also concerning, Trump is trying to stick a label on Beto but his first attempt was talking about hand movements... Not terribly powerful stuff. I think he might have lost his edge. "Drunken Irishman" has a nice ring to it.
Adding on to above, Kennedy was very conservative by today's libs standards.

I don't think he makes it out of their debates.
