I have been hanging around here for a bit - reading opinions, advice, and experiences - and thought I would pull up a chair and wait with you.
I took my CHL class 8 Sep, sent the paperwork in 12 Sep, check was cashed 19 Sep, and I got my pin 6 Oct.
Looks like the timelines around here vary quite a bit so I have no idea how long before I get the plastic in my hands.
I also wanted to say thanks to all those that post experiences/advice. To those of us that are relatively new to this type of thing it is of significant help.

Woo Hoo!
I checked my status yesterday (23 Oct) and my status changed to 'active'. Looks like it was about 42 days from the time I mailed in the app until the status changed (hopefully it won't be too long before I get the plastic.
I live in Bexar Co, but had a little bit of time out of state (military). I am a little surprised at the quickness (of course I ‘wanted’ it to be done as soon as I took the course) of the process – I had heard that Bexar Co could be a bit on the slow side.
I wish everyone else currently waiting a speedy process!
