I haven't got it to a range yet. But I have shot a lot of .45 and it's very manageable.

Excellent choice. It'll serve you well. The G30 is my first .45 pistol and I love it, but I opt for a 1911 because of it's slimmer profile. Jbirds, if you're interested to try it out, let me know. I'll be more than happy to let you try mine out. :)

In general, how was the show?

It was okay, Lott's of people but it wasn't as complete as I remembered it. There was a bunch of empty tables. Shopped a few minutes and found the Glock for $489.00 most wanted $499 and up. I normally go to the Big Town show as it is closer to my home.
