Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

I can't see how anyone could vote for him if they would take the time to actually consider his positions on critical issues and how his background and past experience compare to Cruz's.

Then again, I can't see how people can push the progressive liberal socialist agenda. Some things I'll never understand.

Ted Cruz tweet with the full video of the Beto supporter shouting that he wants to take people's guns.

Gun-grabber Beto will carry the urban areas. Let us hope the margin is small enough that the rest of the stare can offset that.

Beto will get a large portion of his votes due to straight ticket. I can promise you “Beto” won’t be on be ballot and anyone so under informed as to believe the Democrats wouldn’t be able to remember his real name.

All Ted Cruz has to do is take a photo or Beto’s website and read it to people- easy.

Take guns
Take down the Mexico wall
Abolish ICE
Free college (start Texas state income taxes)
Shut down all private prisons

I could go on but thats good enough... Cruz has this in the bag
"Jump in there sport, get it done and we'll all sing your praises." -Chas

How many times a day could you say this? :cheers2:

That's music to the ears of democrats, socialists, democratic socialists, undocumented foreigners and other criminals.

I bet the millennials will not be too happy about state income tax... that would only dilute the mandatory minimum wages they already feel too small.

Man it would be great if people would start realizing that 'millennials' are very equally distributed and white male millennials actually prefer R over D by 9%. Please avoid wide-brushing vast swaths of people. Source.

I never said that there were no R millennials. And my inference was that young dems probably haven't thought about a state income tax and that was my point. There are some attractive pieces to socialism for younger people, especially if they haven't yet figured out how it's paid for.

Either way, you misread your cite:
The online survey of more than 16,000 registered voters ages 18 to 34 shows their support for Democrats over Republicans for Congress slipped by about 9 percentage points over the past two years, to 46 percent overall. And they increasingly say the Republican Party is a better steward of the economy.

I didn't misread the cite- you misread my quote.

white male millennials prefer R over D by 9%. Look at the chart 'REGISTERED MILLENNIAL VOTERS' and you will see that white males are R 46% to 37% D.

And you blanket statement-ed all 'millennials'. "I bet the millennials will not be too happy about state income tax". Pretty sure I don't see a "most" or "many" quantifier in there.

still doesn't change the validity of my original comment, or the follow up. (nor do your stats, as you cherry picked a small subset of the millenial 'group' to make a point with)
