This is a great thread. What a cool project. I'm looking forward to seeing how she turns out.

I have my calender set to check back in 8 weeks!AndyC wrote: ↑Tue Jul 31, 2018 10:45 am Ruger and barrel are on the way to the 'smith in Austin via FedEx insured - expected return around 8 weeks.
Total so far for general interests' sake:

* Python barrel: $290
* Shipping to Smith, Fedex insured: $24
Running total: $754

Even if you are, Andy, it's still pretty cool. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Andy,
Does that price include a trigger job on the Ruger? I have a 70's vintage Security Six that needs a trigger job but don't know anyone that can do that. Sure would like to get it slicked up.
