After reading why his neighbor smashed him, I am thinking he was being a smart elleck with his rubbish piles and maybe he asked for it.
Here is the most recent link on the story. The neighbor did plead guilty to assault. Just to be clear, I am not suggesting the guy should have assaulted a sitting US Congress Person. That is a NEVER do. But it does appear Rand was not being a "good neighbor".
And Rand Paul isn't a SCOTUS nominee.

I have one of those so I can relate. As long as he never just happens to be standing in the alley when I am in my truck driving I will stay out of jail for running over him.
