New LTC time

#1

Post by ClockPerfection »

Just got my new LTC yesterday. Less than two weeks wait time.
5/29/18 attended free class for first responders in Frisco.
5/29/18 applies online
5/31/18 identigo finger prints
6/8/18 checked daily with no update and finally everything green except print pending
6/8/18 PM sent
6/10/18 received in the AM
Less than two weeks turnaround time. Not bad at all. Only paid $10 for fingerprinting and $7.50 range fees. $0 to the government. $17.50 total less than two weeks. Should have done this along time ago.

Dang, when I got mine it was a solid 50-60 days before my plastic showed up. Glad it's quicker now! Welcome to the club!

Took CHL Training Class 5/27
All Documents;Affidavits Received 5/29
Fingerprints 6/5
Background Check Complete 6/9
LTC Mailed 6/12
Don’t have License in hand yet but so impressed with the turnaround time. I delayed the fingerprints a few days to fit my schedule and still the whole process in just a little over 2 weeks. My hubby got his license 2 years ago, he sent all documents by snail mail and it took 4.5 months. It seems to me Texas wants us to get these LTC’s, am I just dreaming there? My fingerprints showed a “failed to match” on 3 when she did the individual ones in comparison to when she did the whole hand prints. I thought that would cause a low quality problem but nope, all is well and I should have that license this week.

Congrats to both of ya'll!

Welcome to the forum!

Back in the day it took me over 120 days, $250, and one very long Saturday training to get my license. Glad things are running more efficiently now.
