"How much".
His liability carrier better do whatever it takes to settle before it goes to trial or they will get cleaned out.

I faced this exact conundrum recently. I was shooting a Ruger 10/22 Takedown and the gun froze up with a live round in the chamber. I was done for the day and was ready to leave, but that gun cannot be broken down without locking the bolt back, so it wouldn't fit into the carrying case. I was not about to openly carry a rifle through the range and out to my car. Luckily the range I go to has a great gunsmith and a RSO volunteered to carry the rifle to him. He was able to fix the issue for me fairly quickly.WildRose wrote:If you're carrying a firearm into a shop have the courtesy to open the breech and leave it open.
If you have a firearm with a loaded round that cannot be cleared, leave it in the car, go get the gunsmith and make sure you explain the situation to him him before proceeding.
This is a warning about the Harris County DA's office under ultra-liberal, anti-gun Kim Ogg. This indictment is absurd! I suspect he will be acquitted, but it will cost him a lot of money.philip964 wrote:https://www.click2houston.com/news/gun- ... arking-lot
Indicted in shooting.
They need to indict the rest of these accidental shooters as well.
Have there been any more details made public on exactly what happened in this incident? I did a little looking but didn't see any updated information. WRCharles L. If you were going to charge him at all not knowing any more details than were released in the initial news stories it would seem much more appropriate to me to charge him under 19.05 with "Criminally Negligent Homicide".Charles L.
