Need advice on a IWB for a Glock

I have received 22 years of good service from a Don Hume IWB leather holster, however it is time to replace it.

I prefer leather, but I am open to kydex, primary interest is safety, followed by the ease of reholstering by a holster design that doesn't collapse.

What is new in the last 20 years that is worthwhile ?

I just got a Vedder Light Tuck IWB for my P365. It is the first IWB that I have liked. I highly recommend it.

Without knowing a bit about your Hume, it's a literal shot in the dark to make a suggestion. What I like in a holster likely won't be right for you. However, I like most of the custom Leather makers, The Milt Sparks Criterion is the reinforced mouth version of the Nexus, which is the most comfy holster I have ever owned. In Kydex, I like JM Custom Kydex for bigger guns and PJ Holsters for little guns. (JM is a bit more expensive than many kydex options but his design and execution is way above the typical bar.)

Here are the things I consider when ordering a holster... What position, what degree of cant, do you prefer a single loop/attachment point or the wide spaced pair, ride height, type of loops or clips, etc.

Depending on what position you carry IWB, I’d feel pretty good about recommending anything from CYA Supply. I have one of their holsters for a G26, which I carry appendix IWB, and it is quite comfortable that way. It also retains the gun pretty positively. I find that even with my ....Er.....”prosperous” dimensions, appendix carry is comfortable, and with that holster provides a pretty quick draw stroke.

I like Milt Sparks and Ryan Grizzle (I own examples from both makers) but they may take a while to get these days. If you need it quickly, a decent Kydex design would likely be more suitable.

I like M Sparks also. However the lead time these days is measured in months. For a quicker turn around I like the hybred Crossbreed.

I agree on the Crossbreed. Quality workmanship, very comfortable to wear.

OWB is the way to go.

IWB is dreadfully uncomfortable in comparison.

Oh, and I'm not recommending OCing, just an OWB holster.

especially for a Glock 19. Much too thick for IWB, at least for me. G42, maybe, but not a G19.

That said, I have both the Milt Sparks VM2 and the Crossbreed, and would recommend both if you do want to carry IWB.
