Patted down at Dollar Cinema in Webster.

Post by rm9792 »

Went to the Rocky Horror show which is at Midnite Saturday night. Lots of freaks there so of course the Kimber went with me. There arent any postings at all but they had some college kid at the door patting down. i didnt realize it until he grabbed my shirt and started to lift. I turned slightly and said to be careful, my phone is expensive. He said sorry and patted down my legs. He actually touched the barrel and said thanks and let me through. He never said why he was patting me so i considered no verbal warning was given. Never been to this show but it was funny and pretty raunchy, surprised people had their kids there.

  Oh MAN I have GOT to remember that one.

An excuse i've used is, "That's my colostomy bag, be careful."

A 'Kid" would not even know what a colostomy bag is!

If there was no sign and there was no REAL Security then you should have never been detained. What do you think would have happened if he actually discovered your Pistol? I think he would have said something like "Uh...oh....sorry Officer".

Most of the time I see something like this is not to find guns but to find other "contraband" such as candy, drinks, video cameras, etc......

They want you to buy the overpriced snacks at the snack bar and not bring your own. I kinda doubt this particular Cinema would be concerned about video cameras though......

I would never allow anyone to pat me down. Either let me in or deny me entry. I would also write a letter to the local rag about what happened. That is beyond acceptable.

That is some strange encounter, I would have to tell the kid hands off myself. But "expensive cell phone" great idea and quick thinking

He was probably looking for contraband Goobers or Popcorn

I guess when you charge a dollar for a movie you need all the extra money from the concessions you can get.

Makes you wonder what they were searching for, as I recall, people usually take a lot of props to the Rocky Horror movie.

They were giving away popcorn so it wasnt food they were searching for. They had a constable outside but i wasnt even close to breaking any laws. I rolled the dice he wouldnt find it rather than tell him to back off and get denied entrance. not that I would have cared but the little woman has waited years to see this show. I wasnt really detained as he was searching while the other person took your tickets.

Instead of "cell phone" you should have said, "that kimber is top dollar.."
