NRA vs CNN Tonight 9PM

#1

Post by Revet »

CNN is hosting a TownHall 8PM Central Standard Time tonight on gun control. Given the outfit involved, we know in which direction it will slant. Surprisingly (to me), they reached out to the NRA. The very capable Dana Loesch will attend.
The National Rifle Association will participate in CNN's nationally televised town hall Wednesday with students, parents and community members who were affected by last week's school shooting.

After a gunman took the lives of 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, lawmakers are facing renewed calls for legislation on gun reform.

The NRA accepted CNN's invitation to participate in the town hall and national spokeswoman Dana Loesch will represent the organization.

It says Anderson Cooper in the guide. I guess they are using his time slot?

It'll be interesting to see how they respond to her. I'm watching this (while I do other things), and so far it's been like a high school pep rally, with the superintendent getting up and saying "we don't need to put guns in the hands of teachers" and getting a huge standing ovation.

CNN is milking this one for all it's worth.

I tried. I can't take it anymore. The deck is stacked.

Yes it is. My hat's off to Rubio for being there.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

It was a trap and NRA took the bait.
Whatever solution Pro-gun advocates would propose, it would be looked at as weak and not welcomed.
Marco is doing great job, but no one is listening.
What Marco is proposing such as flagging those who are RXed Psychiatric drugs should undergo further metal and social assessment with due process is the right approach that make a difference in 90% of mass shooters cases. AR AK type ban is nothing but a ruse to ban all Semi-auto guns (rifles or handguns).
Anti guns folks are proposing expanded background checks (hidden term, registration of all guns) which has 0 effect on reducing mass shooting.

Not a single question from Pro Gun Supporters.

Of course no questions from pro-gun supporters. That would be against the narrative.

He is the only 2nd amendment advocate, and he is very mushy about it. He has no problem making AR-15s illegal.
