Got the confirmation saying all documents were received on Dec 5th, background check under review about 2 days after, no notification requesting more documents afterward. Playing the long game now it would seem, the eternal background check, and with not so much as a speeding ticket on my record.
(I’m young and impatient, but I’m also a worrier, if this sounds off please let me know and I’ll submit a contact form to the DPS, otherwise I’m just assuming (more like hoping), that this is a normal amount of time to wait as I am quite new to the chl scene)

It sounds like you do have something on your record. I’d def email or call them just to ask if there’s anything incomplete or missing.

It would certainly be news to meinfoman wrote:It sounds like you do have something on your record. I’d def email or call them just to ask if there’s anything incomplete or missing.
I’ve never been arrested, diagnosed with mental illness, or any such thing. Most trouble I’ve had is two occasions where I was going a little over the limit, and even then I just received a warning. I’ll call the DPS and request an update.

Re: 51 days and counting
Guess I got lucky, from online application to license in hand was only 21 days.
Re: 51 days and counting
I gave them a call, which was not very helpful. The lady just said that the 60 day period isn’t up yet basically. At this point I just have to chalk it up to them having a lot of chl’s to process, I suppose. By the way, is it normal for the checklist to show out of state items received if you’ve never lived out of state?
Re: 51 days and counting
yes, extremely normal.
Re: 51 days and counting
I just got an email confirmation, my application was approved and it’s being mailed out, finally.

I got my license in the mail today!
