So... where's the rest?
1. Whatever agency was running this Op let it get badly out of control with unintended consequences. Releasing too much info will unravel the conspiracy. The info that has been released is so screwed up that they can't fix it, so going silent is the only choice.
2. There was no lone gunman, and they are still pursuing those responsible for planning, funding and execution of the event.
3. Or they know exactly who/what/when/why and need to ensure the citizens don't find out to prevent retaliation against the types of people who did it.

Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter
sadly it sounds about right. The most plausible explanation in my head (the man's a wealthy, deranged lunatic who isn't quite together in the head had some Timothy McVeigh thoughts and went on a killing spree) would explain practically everything if the investigators didn't keep tripping over themselves and shutting up for so long. The longer they wait to explain anything about what happened, the more likely it's a cover-up like how the JFK thing turned out to be.anygunanywhere wrote:*cough*FBI*cough*bblhd672 wrote:I have theories: (hey, some nights I don't sleep so well)strogg wrote:Preaching to the choir here. Dieing faster than a friend of Bill and Hillary.
So that's pretty coincidental.

There were ~22,000 people at the concert, that's a post-shooting annualized death rate of ~.0011. That's roughly similar to the death rate for the US population at large.Jnazee wrote:Nah. Reddit poster wonders why a video of a casino robber is posted so quickly, while not a single frame of the Las Vegas shooter has been released.

Some have remarked that the lack of accessible background information on Paddock is a characteristic that is associated with intelligence operatives. The unwillingness to publicize a single photo of him from a place that is crawling with cameras and where he stayed for several days would be consistent with this suspicion. The hard drive missing from a computer in a secured crime scene and the breakin at his home would fit into this scenario as well.philip964 wrote:https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/com ... night_has/

I am not sure what kind of "intelligence operative" he would be. I am puzzled why LEO has released so little information on this case. There is a HUGE amount of information that is "out there" that for some reason has not been disclosed. We are talking about 911 calls, the video Excaliber mentions (a ton of it), non-sensitive offense reports, photographs, and so on.
Expect the usual books to be written on this tragic event. I confess I will buy those books.

How about just releasing this simple statement: "We have matched all the bullets recovered from the scene. They all come from the weapons found in the room with the body of the suspect. No fingerprints were found on the weapons other than the dead man in the room. His hands and arms contained gun powder residue consistant with him being a shooter. Here is a list of weapons found in the room, none were automatic type. We are continuing to investigate the crime for a motive and or other potential suspects. We will update you as further evidence is obtained. " Attached list of weapons and accessories....
Is that really hard? It's not if it is the truth. There in lies the problem, it would appear it's not the truth. Thus our problem.
