They would have been coming down today, but the foolish panic buying of gasoline at north Texas gas stations up here put paid to that. I talked with Charles' wife the day after Harvey hit. She said "we live on a bit of a hill, so we are OK". I have not talked to him since then (the Buffalo Bayou has kept me busy). I will try to call in a bit to see if there is anything new we can find out.The Annoyed Man wrote:I just left voicemail on his cellphone. How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

I know some people are still recovering from the storm, so I am putting out some feelers to see who is
up for having breakfast this Friday Sept 8th. I just called Kelley's and they are open for business.
I got a text from Pumaguy and he will be able to make it. How about the others?

- Yes, I'm up to (almost) 4500 texts that I've never read, and
- Yes, I have the texting app in a folder called "Worthless" (which only holds apps that I'd delete if I could, but the iPhone won't let me)

It doesn't look like I'm going to make it tomorrow. I wouldn't be very good company anyway.

I'm hoping to make it if the aliens and Murphy cooperate. I'm already hungry.

Actually, it would only take a word from you and we would likely relocate our breakfast to your home. You buy the tacos, and we'll help with clean-up!puma guy wrote:Very understandable. Just kidding - we'd bring the tacos as well
