Does anyone know about the newly signed Bill to allow classes to be online?
House Bill 3784 allows persons approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety to offer an online course to cover the classroom portion of the required training for a License To Carry.

Re: Bill 3784 online class question?
I don't think DPS has approved anybody yet and don't think it will happen this year, considering all the work they need to do to revise the CHL-16 for the new laws and then train new and renewal f2f instructors.

Re: Bill 3784 online class question?
The bill says the DPS CAN approve an online class. It doesn't say they MUST do it. I doubt this is real high on their priority list.
I suppose we will find out in August, September time frame when we go for the renewal class.
