Renewal Time Very Quick
I mailed my check and renewal application finished online on May 18, 2017, and received my new LTC in the mail today, good for five more years. That is outstanding speed. Thank you, DPS!

That's about the same time it took when I renewed mine in 2015.

Re: Renewal Time Very Quick
You did well! I filed renewal on-line on 5/17. Status shows "awaiting printing" so I am right behind you. Thanks DPS.

Re: Renewal Time Very Quick
The 3rd of May I did my application online and my new card was in my mail box on May 15th. I was surprised - especially since the last thing I saw online was that they would look at my current fingerprints (not digital but ink) and my picture and "let me know if they met current standards". Guess they did.

I had the same experience. My renewal took 2 weeks, from submission of payment and application online, to receipt of plastic in the mail.

Re: Renewal Time Very Quick
Renewal time very quick ... not in my experience. Submitted renewal online on 4/2. After phone calls to both DPS and State Representative, finally went print pending on 6/2. I figure it will take another 120 days or so for printing and mailing.

Had a very similar experience... application submitted on 5/18/17, CHL-100 on 5/19/17, Fingerprints done on 5/23/17... plastic arrived today (along with an Alien CloakTuck 3.0w/ single mag holder and dock ). Was surprised it went that quick give others' experiences.

Re: Renewal Time Very Quick
Wife renewed hers online on 6-1, arrived in mail on 6-15.
She could have waited until after Sept 1st (since hers was to expire in Nov.) to take advantage of the lower fee, but thought there might be a rush of renewals after Sep 1st, so she went ahead and renewed at the higher fee.
