Registration Form Posted
The Registration Form for the 2007 TexasCHLforum Day at PSC is now posted on the pscIDPA website. The final shooting clinic and seminar schedule is the same as posted last week. Be sure to mark your shooting clinic and seminar choices.
Please send in your registration forum ASAP to help us with planning. Since we don't have to order trophies, T-shirts, etc. as we did for a state championship IDPA match, we aren't setting a cut-off date. However, last minute registrations will make planning more difficult and space is limited in both the shooting clinics and seminars.
We hope to have a large turnout for what is becoming a great event for our "community."
Come join us!

A revised Registration Forum has been posted. It's a pdf file that will print on a single page, without going to a lot of trouble. Thanks seamus.
Remember, we need a separate form for each person coming to the event, so we can make a badge for everyone.

I do need to put a description on the website. I forget that this is new for many of our members. Sorry about that.CWOOD wrote:Tell us more about the activities.
What is " Battlefield Pickup"?
What is learned in "Close Quarters Battle"?
Who is teaching what?
Sorry, I am new to the forum and am not familiar with what happens at this event.
Sounds fun.
"Battlefield Pickup" will be a bay set up to let people try a variety of different guns. It's can be very helpful when deciding what gun to buy, or what gun to buy next. The title is a play on Clint Smith's line, "What makes you think you'll fight with the gun you brought?"
Close Quarters Battle teaches techniques to use in arm's length defensive shooting. It includes blocking techniques, movement, retention shots and disengagement. I taught it last year, but I think Gary has someone who is going to teach it this year.

Thanks for the kind words. No, I'm trying to leave that spot open. I probably will give it Friday night, Sept. 28th. I'm doing it in Irving this Friday and I'll do it at PSC again in Oct. for those in our area who don't come to the TexasCHLforum Day.charlie wrote:Charles,
Will you be teaching the class on deadly force that you did last time? It was great! I didn't see it on the schedule.
BTW, I had to update it for the changes made during the 2007 Legislative Session.

I'm getting a 404 error (page not found) error, too.Charles L. Cotton wrote:It's working for me. Is anyone else having trouble?
Ah! Wait!
The link from the July 23 message above is http://pscidpa.texasshooting.com/TexasCHLforum_Day.htm. Which results in the error.
At pscidpa.texasshooting.com I can navigate to: http://pscidpa.texasshooting.com/News/T ... um_Day.htm.
Ta dah! I think it's just that link above in the July 23 post is missing the /News/ subdirectory.
And for folks needing to register quickly--and you know you do--the PDF registration form itself is at: http://pscidpa.texasshooting.com/images ... ration.pdf.
