Call-To-Action: HB421

#1

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

Anyone interested in HB421, Rep. Rinaldi's volunteer church security Bill, should call the Todd Hunter, Chairman of the House Calendars Committee, at 512-463-0672 and respectfully but firmly tell him that HB421 is an important safety Bill that must be put on the House Calendar. Tell him also that it must be put on the correct Calendar such that it will make it to the House floor in time to pass and to pass in the Senate.

There's no reason for this important bill to die in his committee,so call every day until HB421 appears on the House Calendar.
Chas.

I called and said firmly and politely I didn't see any reason why this bill and HB1911 shouldn't pass in Texas this session.

Obviously, people can do as they wish. However, please make two calls and do not tie HB421 and HB1911 together! They cover totally different subjects and pitching both in one call waters down support for HB421.

Called and will call until it is placed on the appropriate calendar for a vote. I'll be sure to send this to those within my church who are interested as well.

Called. Support was politely expressed. I was surprised that I was able to speak to a person as well.

Called and was quickly answered by a live person who took my name and Zip code, and noted my support for HB421 making it to the House Calendar in time to pass the Senate.

At least one of my emails last night to the Calendar Committee members was forwarded to my own representative as well. I already received an email this morning from Rep. Capriglione thanking me for letting him know of my support for HB421.
May we never haver to draw but always be prepared.
