I have an old government Colt that I would like to make into an IDPA gun. It does not have the original slide so it isn't a collector’s piece. Someone over the years has made some modifications to it and not knowing my way around 1911's I need someone to go though it, make it safe and reliable. Hopefully in the process they can make it a good self defense/IDPA gun for me.
Thanks,
DD

I've used Ed Vanden Berg in Webster to build or modify my 1911's for more years than I can remember. His shop is on Hwy. 3 in Webster, across from Ellington Field.
