TSRA Annual Meeting & FONRA Dinner
The Texas State Rifle Assoc. Annual Meeting and other events are scheduled for February 3 - 5, 2006 in Mesquite, Texas. I have to be there late Friday afternoon for a TSRA Legislative Committee meeting and we have the Friends of the NRA Dinner Friday night. The Annual Meeting is Saturday morning and the Awards Banquet is Saturday evening. There are a number of speakers Friday and Saturday and there will be a gun show Saturday and Sunday.
I am wondering if there are enough people going from the Houston area to warrant getting a charter bus to take us to Mesquite Friday, leaving Houston around noon, and returning to Houston Sunday morning. If there is enough interest, I'll arrange it.
What say ye?
Chas.

Me too...
I happen to have this little bed and breakfast place called "Grandmother's" in Garland, right next to Mesquite...
Lemme check on that weekend...My Dad's birthday is on the 4th, so this might be a good excuse to get him off his retirement posterior and attend one of these functions as well...
He's one of those NRA lifetime/endowment/executive/"paid alot of money into the thing" members...
He's also a TSRA member as well...Don't know his level there though...
Should be fun...

Whether or not we have enough people for a charter bus, I'd like to do this. Since there's a gun show in the complex, I can't think of a better place to meet.RPBrown wrote:Why don't we set a time and day at the show for a meeting of Texas CHL Forum members?
I know that I would like to meet most of you.
Any one interested?

If enough are going, we may be able to get our own table at either or both the FONRA dinner and the Saturday night Awards Banquet.
Good idea,
Chas.

What RPBrown suggested is a good idea. Let me know when and where. I am in Round Rock so no need of a charter bus for me, but I might make it up there that weekend. I got some friends in Fort Worth I have not seen in a while so I could stay over Saturday night. So Sat or Sunday would work for me if I am able to make it.
