Re: Avenger Arms in Stafford
They seem to be a little elitist and, frankly, anti 2A. If they know the first thing about 2A and guns they would NOT have the signs up under any circumstances. A gun store posting 06 signs makes totally no sense.
If they do take down the signs, we would be crazy to patronize them in the future. They definitely have an ideological issue with guns and/or people carrying guns.
And to have an oct logo on the homepage of their website?
I most likely will never be in Stafford but I will definitely never darken the door of this place with or without signage.

When I googled Avenger Arms Stafford Tx this thread is the third in the list, ahead of their website. Your results may vary!Abraham wrote:Perhaps, the owners of AA will become aware of this thread, read it and understand if our little microcosm of the gun world are very put off (to put it mildly) by their signage, maybe they'll realize we're only the very tip of the "I won't buy a gun or anything else from them" iceberg...
Supposedly, any publicity is good, but if it's all bad, how good is it...?

When I first saw the thread title, I was thinking there was another gun shop I can visit when I am over that way. Not after reading it.
I concealed carry everywhere when I am not at work. There is no logic behind this. The 3006/7 signs only affect CHL holders who are the least likely to try to rob them. If they are worried about being shot at, that is the last group they should be concerned about. Now I can understand rules about not unholstering a weapon in the store, but this goes too far.

Not the brightest people in the world. We have been questioned multiple times about our status of having both 30.06 and 30.07 signs posted outside of our store. That is correct. This is meant for the protection of our staff and surrounding businesses. If you have an LTC, it is required that you show the identification to the camera outside of the entrance and then you will be allowed into the store with your firearm. We apologize if this aggravates potential and current customers, but again, it is for the safety of our staff.

Re: Avenger Arms in Stafford
Do these guys sell guns? If so, then how does that work, exactly?
I can't legally carry a gun in a box (or bag, or purse, etc) in a building that is posted 30.06. So if I buy a gun, do I later meet up with a store employee somewhere else to take delivery? If he hands me a box that has a gun, inside the store, then I have committed a violation of 30.06, have I not (since I have my LTC)?
Rhetorical question regardless, since I don't patronize any 30.06 posted establishments if I have an alternative.

That is just the opposite of what their signage says. The signage, specifically prohibits carry by LTC holders. How can they then "allow" an LTC holder to enter, with a loaded firearm, upon verification of their LTC?

I have to assume that they don't offer LTC classes.

Are any of their staff LTC holders? And if so, are they allowed to carry, on the premisis?

You make a great point. "Here is your gun, and your citation to go with it. Hurry up and get out, or that will be a class A."Soccerdad1995 wrote:Do these guys sell guns? If so, then how does that work, exactly?

For the record, I've been shot at as well. It makes me less inclined to go into their store with those signs.

Exactly. If they want to allow carry by LTC holders, then there is a way to do this. They need to post a gun busters sign with a picture of a rifle. That is it. I'm assuming they are OK with off duty LEO's carrying.Jusme wrote:TVGuy wrote:They posted this on their Facebook page 40 minutes ago:

The ONLY people they are restricting from carrying with their signs are LTC holders.

I get it, really. The 20 plus years of CHL/LTC history clearly indicates that CHL/LTC license holders are the worst possible people you can do business with...thieves, murderers, rapists, shooters, stabbers, generally just bad people you can't trust to come in the front door legally armed.TVGuy wrote:They posted this on their Facebook page 40 minutes ago:

They probably should just bar LTC holders from their business altogether.bblhd672 wrote:I get it, really. Oh wait, they have basically done exactly that.
Re: Avenger Arms in Stafford
Perhaps we should all send them one of these from the TSRA store:

I sometimes have to shake my head at some people's "logic."
"I post signs telling you to keep out with your license and your gun.
But if you show me your license, you can come in with it and your gun."

It's even better than that.RossA wrote:I sometimes have to shake my head at some people's "logic."

"We ban guns for the safety of our staff", so guns are too dangerous to be around the folks who WORK IN A GUN STORE. What's next? A car dealership saying that they can't have those "dangerous" cars near their lot?
The folks running this store actually make MDA seem intelligent.
